Dear Harvardians, Joint Alumni Forum, and Interested Parties,

A complex web of national and international regulations has emerged requiring companies to analyze and report on the impacts of their activities across national borders. As the sphere of responsibility of corporations is expanding, with this movement emerges a need for actors to better assess and understand their value chains. Supply chain traceability is therefore increasingly an extraterritorial regulatory requirement. Navigating these regulations can be daunting for businesses, and non-compliance can lead to severe sanctions. These regulations span a wide spectrum, from environmental standards and labour laws to import/export regulations, sanctions, and product safety requirements.

The Joint Alumni Forum would like to invite you to an interactive evening with experts in supply chain monitoring commencing with Tim Nelson, as the keynote speaker who will talk about how Hope for Justice detects and monitors modern slavery and other human rights abuses globally. We will also hear from Sree Kancherla about her work and advice to Fortune 500 clients on supply chain monitoring.  Maya McNally will address supply chain monitoring in a Swiss context. Kevin Wood will talk about the challenges of supply chain monitoring for Banks and Financial Institutions. Finally, we have leading experts, Dr. Phillip Aeby and Syler Chi who will talk about the use of technology and AI to assist in supply chain monitoring. The goal is for participants to understand both the implications and how to develop supply chain monitoring infrastructures and where to get assistance.
