Alumnae Network of Harvard Women Switzerland
Sustainability – from Human Network to Infrastructure
Talks and drinks at B Capital Partners AG with:
Barbara Weber (B Capital Partners)
Reem Yared (Help Around Town)
The discussion will be moderated by Swan Lu, ANHW Switzerland board member.
Time: Wednesday, 26. October, at 6:30 - 8 pm
Location: Bahnhofstrasse 58, Zurich
For Barbara Weber, sustainability challenges everything we think and do. Where utilities operated large, centralized power plants based on imported fossil fuels, today institutional investors finance decentral energy transition assets relying on renewable resources. The partner-owned investment house B Capital Partners invests exclusively in sustainable infrastructure assets with superior outcomes – both in terms of profitability and sustainability.
For Reem Yared, sustainability challenges us to reduce our carbon footprint and our consumption of resources in the big things and the little things of everyday life. By recruiting help that is nearby, older people can stay in their houses longer – they can age in place- and help can travel less. HelpAroundTown.com is a community marketplace for help that focuses on this approach.

About the Alumnae Network of Harvard Women Switzerland
In 2013, a group of Radcliffe and Harvard alumnae founded the Alumnae-i Network for Harvard Women (ANHW) with the intent of connecting students, alumnae, faculty, and administrators from all Harvard schools. Our immediate goal is to provide opportunities for networking and a platform from which to address issues of particular concern to women in the Harvard community and beyond. New Chapters and Discussion Groups are growing in number monthly, and events are hosting all over the world, as the ANHW website shows. The Swiss ANHW DSG, ANHW CH, has been open in 2020, with activities announced here.
