Meet Thomas Jordan
Thomas J. Jordan is a respected Swiss economist and the current Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (SNB). He earned his PhD in economics from the University of Bern and later conducted post-doctoral research at Harvard University.
Jordan joined the SNB in 1997, progressing through various roles before becoming a Governing Board member in 2007. He was appointed Vice Chairman in 2010 and assumed the role of Chairman in 2012.
In addition to his duties at the SNB, Jordan is a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the Steering Committee of the Financial Stability Board (FSB). He's known for his expertise in monetary policy and his leadership in maintaining the stability of the Swiss franc.
