Meet Rolf Stangl
Rolf Stangl is a seasoned executive and advisor, bringing over two decades of leadership experience across various industries. Mr. Stangl served as CEO of SIG Group AG, a leading Swiss packaging solutions provider, stock-listed on SIX, from 2008 until December 2020. During his tenure at SIG, he led the company through substantial growth and transformation, reinforcing its position as a global leader in packaging solutions. Prior to becoming CEO, he held several key roles within SIG, including Head of Corporate Development and M&A, Chief Executive Officer of SIG Beverage (a division later divested), and Chief Market Officer.
Currently, Mr. Stangl serves as a Senior Advisor at Apollo Global Management, where he leverages his deep industry knowledge to support Apollo's strategic investments in diverse sectors. In addition to his advisory role, he serves on the Board of Directors of two Apollo entities. He is a member of the Board of Reno de Medici S.p.A., a leading producer of recycled cartonboard in Europe, and a member of the Board of Ingenico, a leading payment solutions company. Furthermore, Mr. Stangl serves as an independent member of the Board of Directors of US publicly listed Pactiv Evergreen Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of food and beverage packaging solutions, and he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of US publicly listed Reynolds Consumer Products Inc., a leading provider of household products.
Rolf started his career as Investment Director for small and mid-cap buyouts at a family office in the United Kingdom and a Senior Consultant with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in Germany. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the École Supérieure de Commerce de Reims and the European School of Business at Reutlingen.
