How to Prevent Team Friction From Turning Into Dysfunction
In an article in the HARVARD BUSINESS REVIEW, the authors openly shared the team dynamic challenges they saw during their collaboration with the entire first-year MBA program at Harvard Business School during their FIELD Global Immersion program, where student teams spend ten days solving real business challenges around the world. The article shows how, during the first year of analysing the program, 45 of the 158 teams required faculty intervention to resolve interpersonal issues, and how this was reduced to only 1 team requiring faculty help by the second year.
